What a unique country! Started by emancipated slaves returning from America this country is steeped in our traditions and thinking. In 1989 a civil war broke out that devastated the country and people. With it cessation in 2003 the country has started a slow but gradual climb out of the chaos it was in to its former standing. In 2008 we were invited by a man named Menledy Towah . He resides in the city of Tappetta which is in the center of the country. He and 4 other men requested that we come train them and help them reach their countrymen. After much prayer and planning we responded and the outcome was God establishing a 5 man team in Tappetta with Menledy as the team leader. They are currently evangelizing the Gbi Forest region in northern Liberia. Their efforts through evangelism has resulted in many coming to the saving knowledge of Christ and the establishment of Segbah Town Baptist Church.
